Separate sections of the Plan deal with the crisis response, the CSTO peacekeeping activities, as well as measures to reduce tensions in the Tajik-Afghan border area. Stanislav Zas stressed that the document provided for the approval of the draft CSTO Special Interstate Policy for strengthening sections of the Tajik-Afghan Border.
The issues of holding meetings of the CSTO statutory bodies in 2021 and trainings of the Collective Forces on the territory of the Republic of Tajikistan were discussed. The CSTO Secretary General and the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan have discussed the situation in the Central Asian region and the implementation of measures to reduce tensions in the Tajik-Afghan border area.
The parties have discussed the holding of a meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers in Dushanbe this spring, military, military-technical and military-economic cooperation in the CSTO format and the implementation of the priorities of the Tajik side in these areas.
