On August 14, consultations were held via videoconference at the CSTO Joint Staff with representatives of relevant ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states on organizing joint training activities for command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system in 2027.
On July 15, 2026, the High-Level Regional Meeting “Enhancing Capacities to Prevent the Supply of Weapons to Terrorists in Central Asia” was held in Moscow, organized by the United Nations Office of Counter-Terrorism with the participation of the Russian side.
On July 14, 2026, a working meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov and UN Assistant Secretary-General Alexander Zuev.
From July 7 to 9, second staff talks were held in the Russian Federation on the organization and conduct of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) command-and-staff exercise “Interaction-2026”, the special reconnaissance exercise “Poisk-2026”, and the logistics support exercise “Echelon-2026”.

Territory of the Republic comprises 143,1 thousand square kilometers, the population on 01.01.2003 is 6.463.800. Dushanbe is the capital of Tajikistan.
According to the Constitution adopted 6 November 1994, the Republic of Tajikistan is a sovereign, democratic, legal, secular, unitary state.
The names “Republic of Tajikistan” and “Tajikistan” are equal.
The Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan was adopted on November 6, 1994. It was amended by referendum in 1999, 2003, and 2016. The Constitution of the Republic of Tajikistan consists of 100 articles and 10 chapters.
The Majlis-i Oli (Supreme Assembly or Parliament) is the supreme representative and legislative body of the Republic of Tajikistan. It is elected for a five-year period.
In November 1994 in the Republic Municipal President of the Republic of the Tajikistan (the Head of the State and the Head of Executive branch) was elected by direct universal suffrage for a five-year term of office. The President was re-elected, as from 6 November 1999, for a further period of seven years.
The Republic of Tajikistan has signed the Collective Security Treaty of 15 May 1992 in Tashkent. It is a member of the Collective Security Treaty Organization created in 2003 on the base and in promoting cooperation within the Collective Security Treaty.
On November 16, 1994 Emomali Rahmon was elected President of the Republic of Tajikistan and was re-elected in 1999, 2006, 2013, and 2020.
Since December 25, 2015, Emomali Rahmon has held the lifelong title of Founder of Peace and National Unity - Leader of the Nation.
