On October 30, 2026, the results of the “Channel-Caspian Lighthouse” subregional anti-drug operation were summed up as part of the implementation of the 2026 Plan of Key Activities of the Coordinating Council of Heads of Competent Drug Control Authorities of CSTO Member States (CCHCDCA).
From October 18 to 23 this year, in accordance with the 2026 Plan for the Joint Training of Command and Control Bodies and Formations of Forces and Assets of the Collective Security System of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, the “Cobalt-2026” special exercise was held at the Magob training range of the Special Purpose Units Training Center of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan.

An international scientific and practical conference entitled “Transformation of the Global Security System and the Shaping of a Eurasian Security Framework” was held at Moscow State Linguistic University (MSLU).

The Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov received the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states and the Secretary General of the Organization in Cholpon-Ata on June 30. The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
The parties have discussed the expansion of cooperation within the CSTO and interaction with international structures to counter global threats. President Sadyr Japarov noted the urgency of countering terrorism, transnational crime, extremism, cyber threats and interference in internal affairs. He stressed that "the virtual space is becoming an arena of new conflicts and threats, so it is necessary to develop joint measures to protect critical infrastructure and ensure the security of the information field."
The Foreign Ministers thanked for the reception and supported Kyrgyzstan's initiatives under the chairmanship, stressing the importance of consolidating efforts, strengthening multilateral cooperation and mutual trust to meet modern challenges.
