From 6 to 8 April 2026, the 23rd International Seminar-Meeting on Comprehensive Combat with heads of combat and physical training of law enforcement ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states was held at the Ognikovo Park Hotel in the Istra District of the Moscow Region.

From 7 to 9 April, the first staff talks on the organization and conduct of joint exercises with the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) in 2026 were held at the CSTO Joint Staff.
A meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers was held in Almaty

On May 31, 2024, a meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers was held in Almaty under the chairmanship of the Kazakh side. The event was attended by the Secretary General of the Organization Imangali Tasmagambetov and the Chief of the Joint Staff, Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov.
The CSTO Secretary General made a report “On challenges and threats to military security in the collective security regions of the Collective Security Treaty Organization”. The meeting participants discussed the military-political situation in the collective security regions and its impact on the security of the member states.
Documents were also reviewed and signed regarding equipping the components of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) with modern and promising models of weapons and military equipment, planning joint operational and combat training, improving the methodology for training CSTO peacekeeping contingents, as well as the Targeted Interstate Program of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on strengthening the Tajik-Afghan border and a number of others.
On the same day, in the Park named after the 28 Panfilov Guardsmen, the meeting participants honored the memory of the legendary soldiers of the Great Patriotic War and laid a wreath at the Eternal Flame Memorial.
