The Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov received the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states and the Secretary General of the Organization in Cholpon-Ata on June 30. The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
On June 30, 2025, a regular meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers was held in Cholpon-Ata (the Kyrgyz Republic) under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side, which was attended by the Organization's Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
Safar Umarzoda, Head of the Department for Countering Challenges and Threats of the CSTO Secretariat, took part in a special event (side-event) on "Countering Radicalization leading to terrorism and Extremism" organized by the Russian Federation on the margins of the OSCE Annual Conference on Security Review, where he reported on the measures taken by the CSTO on countering terrorism and extremism, and willingness to share the experience gained.
On June 19, 2025, in Bosteri, Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic, the XIX meeting of the Council of the Advisory Coordination Center of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on Computer Incident Response (CSTO CCC) was held, which was attended by delegations of representatives of national authorized bodies for responding to computer incidents of the CSTO member states.
On June 24-26, the second staff negotiations were held in the Kyrgyz Republic on the organization and conduct an operational meeting with the Command of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CAR CRDF) and a command and staff training with units of the CAR CRDF "Rubezh-2025", conducted as part of the joint operational and strategic training "Combat Brotherhood-2025".

The topic of the exercise is “The preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation by the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO in the Central Asian region in the territory of a non-CSTO member state according to the resolution of the UN Security Council”. The exercise takes place at the training ground of the Sverdlovsk Training Center of the Central Military District of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
The military contingents fr om the six CSTO member states (Republic of Armenia, Belarus, Republic of Kazakhstan, Kyrgyz Republic, Russian Federation and Republic of Tajikistan), the CSTO Joint Staff Task Force, police (police) forces and units of emergency ministries ( Civil Defense and Emergencies).
The Chief of the Joint Staff of the CSTO, Poln. Gen. Anatoly Sidorov addressed the participants of the exercise with a welcoming speech. He noted that “The Indestructible Brotherhood-2018” is the final event of the joint operational and combat training of the CSTO Forces (Collective Forces) as part of the operational-strategic exercise “Combat Brotherhood-2018” and is held at the “Restoration and Peace” phase.
“Not so long ago, your combat friends performed tasks at the exercises with reconnaissance forces and equipment in the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan,” said Anatoly Sidorov. “Two weeks ago, the exercises completed with the collective rapid reaction forces in the Kyrgyz Republic, wh ere at the Edelweiss training ground in of the Issyk-Kul Lake, combat training tasks for the localization of the armed conflict were completed, you will have to fulfill peacekeeping training tasks, and I’m sure that the administration and personnel will make every effort and effort rany, show high level of professionalism to the successful implementation of training and combat tasks, "- he said.
Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Anatoly Sidorov said that the main purpose of the “Indestructible Brotherhood - 2018” exercise is to test the readiness of the peacekeeping contingent of the Collective Security Treaty Organization to accomplish the assigned tasks, to improve the skills of personnel, professional skills of officers of governing bodies to successfully complete tasks.
At the first stage of the exercise, the peacekeeping operation is prepared by the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO. After the opening ceremony, the action moved to the landfill. Here, the first practical stage began to be worked out, during which units of the CSTO Collective Peace-keeping forces patrolled in the zone of armed conflict, took measures to receive refugees in a specially prepared camp and provided them with humanitarian assistance with emergency evacuation of a seriously ill person by helicopter, escorting a column with opposition from armed fighters. Military and transport-assault helicopters MI-24 and MI-8 AMTSH were involved, which provided support to the PMS from the air and landed the landing forces by landing method to block the area.
In general, during the “Indestructible Brotherhood-2018” maneuvers, the peacekeeping contingents of the CSTO member states will work out actions to monitor compliance with the cease-fire agreement and the actions of the population in the area of responsibility, the tasks to assist in restoring peaceful life in the territories affected by attacks international terrorist organizations, as well as transport control, suppressing the illegal import and export of military equipment, weapons, ammunition and explosives. In cooperation with the police (police) personnel, they will work out the actions of the CSTO Collective Peace-keeping forces units in carrying out tasks to counter the riots.
The educational objectives of the teaching "The Indestructible Brotherhood - 2018":
1. Increase the practical skills of commanders and staffs of all degrees in the work of preparing a peacekeeping operation and managing military units (subdivisions) of the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO in the course of carrying out peacekeeping tasks;
2. Improving the combat coherence of the peacekeeping contingents of the CSTO member states for active, skillful and decisive actions to accomplish their tasks in a peacekeeping operation;
3. Strengthening mutual understanding and cooperation among the peacekeeping contingents of the States members of the Treaty Organization about collective security.
Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross will conduct classes with the CSTO Collective Peace-keeping forces personnel on the observance of international humanitarian law in the zone of armed conflict.

The exercise began with the delivery to the Commander of the CSTO Collective Peace-keeping forces of the UN Security Council Mandate to conduct a peacekeeping operation in a third country that is not a CSTO member state.
The “Indestructible Brotherhood-2018” is being held as part of the annual joint operational-strategic exercise with the Forces (Collective Forces) of the CSTO “Combat Brotherhood-2018”, as its final stage - the stage of restoring and maintaining peace in the region. The exercise will last until November 2, 2018.
