“Within the framework of the CSTO, the Airborne-2018 command-staff exercise was held for the first time. A joint headquarters was created in Yekaterinburg, which included representatives from all the CSTO member states to jointly address the tasks of transporting troops to the training areas. The military transport aviation of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan and the Russian Federation was involved. More than three thousand servicemen, over 500 units of armaments and military equipment were delivered to the areas of the air exercise. Lieutenant-General of Aviation Nurlan Ormanbetov also noted that in the future in the exercise "Air Bridge" will be increased attraction of military and army aviation, air defense assets.

The first command-staff exercise with the Collective Air Force of the CSTO "Air Bridge-2018" took place from October 1 to 13.
