A working meeting between CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Vasily Khristoforov, Director of the Institute of International Relations and Political Sciences of the Russian State University for the Humanities (RSUH) and Corresponding Member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, was held at the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
On June 12, 2026, a conference entitled “Central Asia – the Core of the SCO: A Space of Peace and Shared Development” was held in Dushanbe under the auspices of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Tajikistan. Acting CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabayev took part in the event.
On June 10, 2026, a regular meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers was held in Kazan (Russian Federation) under the chairmanship of the Russian side, with the participation of CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov. CIS Deputy Secretary General Denis Trefilov and SCO Deputy Secretary General Oleg Kopylov were also invited to attend the meeting.
On June 9, 2026, a delegation of the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, headed by CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov, took part in the 19th Meeting of Heads of Lead Counter-Terrorism Units of the Competent Authorities of the CIS Member States and Heads of National Structures Responsible for Coordinating Counter-Terrorism and Counter-Extremism Activities. The event was organized by the Anti-Terrorism Center of the CIS Member States.
The CSTO courses were held at the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Russian Federation
15.04.2021In the period from 1 to 14 April, 2021, on the basis of the Military Academy of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, the regular VI training courses were held for the management personnel and leading specialists of the state authorities of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states responsible for various areas of activity in the field of the collective security system forming.
A specialized training program for students included a course of lectures and practical exercises on military-political issues, crisis response to modern challenges and threats, military cooperation in the CSTO format, military strategy, military management and military economy.
The CSTO member states representatives took training courses on preferential terms stipulated by the Agreement on the training of military personnel for the CSTO member states.
Upon completion of the courses, the leadership of the academy awarded the students with the Certificates of advanced training in the form established by the Russian Legislation.
The courses for leading specialists of the state authorities of the CSTO member states held on an annual basis, greatly contribute to the further strengthening of the Organization’s collective security system and the allied relations consolidation within the framework of the Collective Security Treaty.
