In accordance with the CSTO CCBCD Plan of Basic Activities for 2023, a subregional anti-drug operation "Channel-Perekhvat" was carried out in the territory of the CSTO member states from 11 to 15 September, this year, with a view to suppressing channels for the flow of drugs, their precursors and analogues and new psychoactive and potent substances into the CSTO region of responsibility, neutralizing international transnational drug groups, eliminating clandestine drug production and undermining the economic foundations of the drug business, including the legalization of drug proceeds. The subregional anti-drug operation "Channel-Perekhvat" was carried out in order to legalize drug profits.

On 6 September 2023, in Bishkek, the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov met with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic Jeenbek Kulubayev, the Minister of Defense Baktybek Bekbolotov and the Secretary of the country's Security Council Marat Imankulov to discuss topical issues in preparation for the upcoming meetings of the Organization's statutory bodies - the Collective Security Council, the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Defense Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils.

The Republic of Tajikistan held staff talks on the organization and conduct of the trainings "Interaction-2021", "Search-2021", "Echelon-2021".

Staff talks on the preparation and conduct of joint (special) trainings "Echelon-2021", "Search-2021" and "Interaction-2021", planned in the Central Asian region of collective security within the framework of operational-strategic CSTO training "Combat Brotherhood-2021", were held in Dushanbe from June 8 to 10, this year.

The talks were attended by representatives of the Organization's member States and a group of officers from the CSTO Joint Staff, led by Major General of Aviation Turaly Koishikulov. The event participants discussed the basics of the joint trainings, the content and duration of the phases, the preliminary composition of command and control bodies and troops (forces), as well as the main issues of comprehensive support.

Reconnaissance of the training area has been conducted. The main practical actions of the contingents will take place at the “Kharbmaidon” training range of the Republic of Tajikistan.

In the course of a special training "Echelon-2021" it is planned to work out the issues of organization of logistical support of the CSTO troops (Collective Forces) in the preparation and in the course of a joint operation.

Special training "Search-2021" will be aimed at practicing the organization and conduct of reconnaissance by the assets of intelligence bodies of CSTO member States in the interests of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF).

The CSTO CRRF will practice the preparation and conduct of a joint operation to localize armed border conflict in the Central Asian region of collective security within the framework of the joint training "Interaction-2021".

The CSTO troops (Collective Forces) will have to practice their tasks in mountainous and desert areas.
