The 12th Southern Information Security Forum “Infoforum Sochi 2026” is taking place in Sochi, Russia, from June 30 to July 3. On July 1, the Forum's plenary session brought together representatives of federal and regional authorities, regulatory bodies, leading companies, and international organizations to discuss current challenges in the protection of critical infrastructure, the development of artificial intelligence, and international cooperation.
On June 30 – July 1, 2026, Saint Petersburg hosted a series of events chaired by Alexander Kurenkov, Minister of the Russian Federation for Civil Defence, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters, with the participation of heads of the competent authorities of the CSTO member states responsible for emergency prevention and response.

Consultations on "Creating Conditions for the Involvement of the CSTO Peacekeeping Potential in the UN Peacekeeping Operations" were held in Moscow
On October 11, 2022, Moscow hosted consultations of representatives of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states on "Creating Conditions for the Involvement of the CSTO Peacekeeping Potential in the UN Peacekeeping Operations”.
The CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabaev, authorized representatives to the CSTO, experts from interested ministries and agencies of the CSTO member states, employees of embassies of the member states and the Organization Secretariat, as well as experts from the UN Secretariat participated in the event (via videoconferencing).
In the course of consultations, approaches to the functions, tasks and powers of the coordinating state, prospects for the CSTO CPF involvement in the UN peacekeeping operations, taking into account the existing experience in this area, were discussed. The importance of CSTO's effective participation in global peacekeeping efforts was emphasized.
The consultations confirmed a high degree of convergence in the approaches of the CSTO member states and their focus on further strengthening cooperation with the UN in peacekeeping.
