The Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov received the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states and the Secretary General of the Organization in Cholpon-Ata on June 30. The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
On June 30, 2025, a regular meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers was held in Cholpon-Ata (the Kyrgyz Republic) under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side, which was attended by the Organization's Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
Safar Umarzoda, Head of the Department for Countering Challenges and Threats of the CSTO Secretariat, took part in a special event (side-event) on "Countering Radicalization leading to terrorism and Extremism" organized by the Russian Federation on the margins of the OSCE Annual Conference on Security Review, where he reported on the measures taken by the CSTO on countering terrorism and extremism, and willingness to share the experience gained.
On June 19, 2025, in Bosteri, Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic, the XIX meeting of the Council of the Advisory Coordination Center of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on Computer Incident Response (CSTO CCC) was held, which was attended by delegations of representatives of national authorized bodies for responding to computer incidents of the CSTO member states.
On June 24-26, the second staff negotiations were held in the Kyrgyz Republic on the organization and conduct an operational meeting with the Command of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CAR CRDF) and a command and staff training with units of the CAR CRDF "Rubezh-2025", conducted as part of the joint operational and strategic training "Combat Brotherhood-2025".
The Coordination Meeting of Chief Narcologists of the CSTO member states was held in Minsk

Within the framework of the chairmanship of the Republic of Belarus in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a regular Coordination Meeting of Chief Narcologists of the CSTO member states was held in Minsk on 7 September 2023.
The meeting was attended by the CSTO Deputy Secretary General, the Deputy State Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Belarus, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, the Deputy Minister of Health of the Republic of Belarus, representatives of the CSTO Secretariat, the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia and the Embassy of the Republic of Tajikistan in the Republic of Belarus, Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus (Main Directorate for Drug Control and Combating Trafficking in Human Beings of the Criminal Police, Department of Corrections), Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation (Main Directorate for Drug Control), Federal Penitentiary Service of Russia, heads of narcological services of CSTO member states, chief freelance specialists in narcology of regional executive committees and heads of profile medical organizations of the Republic of Belarus.
During the meeting, the participants discussed current trends in the development of the drug situation in the CSTO area of responsibility and its individual member states, as well as ways of addressing the problem of illicit drug use as it relates to health care; they exchanged statistical information on drug-related morbidity and mortality.
They got acquainted with organizational approaches to drug treatment in the CSTO member states and modern methods of stabilizing remission in opioid addiction (which in turn indirectly reduces criminal activity of drug addicts).
Attention was paid to the role and place of interagency cooperation in the organization of comprehensive medical and social assistance to persons with drug use disorders, aimed at reducing the prevalence of non-medical drug use, drug trafficking and negative social consequences.
They discussed coordination of cooperation between medical organizations and law enforcement agencies and measures of state protection of children in dysfunctional families (in cases where the dysfunction is related to substance use).
They were informed about the preparation of the CSTO model law "On prevention of non-medical use of drugs".
Concluded that all CSTO member states implemented the provisions of international and national legislation on the provision of medical care, social support, employment opportunities and social reintegration to persons with drug use disorders who have broken the law.
On 7 September 2023, the meeting participants visited the state institution "Republican Scientific and Practical Centre for Mental Health". They got acquainted with the organization of activities of the center and other medical institutions providing drug treatment to the population.
The meeting participants highly appreciated the level of drug treatment in the Republic of Belarus and its comprehensive medical and social nature.
A visit to the institution "Therapeutic Labor Health Center No. 4" of the Department of Correctional Services of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Vitebsk region is planned of the Department of Penitentiary Execution of the Ministry of Internal Affairs in Vitebsk region in order to learn about the organization of the activities of medical and labor health centers.
