In the period from 12 to 13 March 2024, in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a strategic command and staff training is being conducted under the supervision of Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the Joint Staff, during which issues related to stabilizing the situation in the Central Asian region of collective security in the context of the growing threat of a crisis situation are being worked out.

The event was attended by the Head of the Department for the Study of Regional Security Problems of the Strategic Research Centre under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sayhamid Sharifzoda, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CSTO, Khasan Sultonov, and representatives of the Tajik media.

10.03.2023At the beginning of the conversation the Foreign Minister J.M. Kulubayev congratulated I.N. Tasmagambetov on the beginning of his work in such a high position, expressing to him the full support of the Kyrgyz side. Further, Minister J.M. Kulubayev noted that the Kyrgyz Republic considered membership in the CSTO as one of the key areas of its foreign policy. In this regard, the Kyrgyz Foreign Minister assured the CSTO Secretary General that the Kyrgyz Republic supported the CSTO activities to ensure collective security of its member states against external threats and challenges. At the same time, Minister J.M. Kulubayev drew attention to the need for further strengthening and development of the CSTO potential, especially in preventing crises in its area of responsibility and development of legally and politically binding mechanisms for the non-use of force in resolving bilateral disputes between the CSTO member states.
For his part, the CSTO Secretary General I.N. Tasmagambetov thanked the leadership of the Kyrgyz Republic for supporting the approval of his candidacy for this responsible position. Further, the CSTO Secretary General informed Minister J.M. Kulubayev about the implementation of decisions of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the work plan for the current year. I.N. Tasmagambetov assured the Minister J.M. Kulubaev that the positions and proposals of the Kyrgyz Republic regarding the development of CSTO capacities would be taken into account.
