The CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov told RIA Novosti, commenting on the terrorist attack in “Crocus City Hall” that terrorism was used in hybrid warfare, provoked inter-ethnic and inter-religious discord, so the CSTO member states needed tools to counter this phenomenon.
In the period from 12 to 13 March 2024, in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a strategic command and staff training is being conducted under the supervision of Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the Joint Staff, during which issues related to stabilizing the situation in the Central Asian region of collective security in the context of the growing threat of a crisis situation are being worked out.

On 11 March 2024, the CSTO Secretariat hosted a round table on "Cooperation in the Information and Analytical Sphere to Ensure Collective Security" on the occasion of the Tajik Press Day. The event was attended by the Head of the Department for the Study of Regional Security Problems of the Strategic Research Centre under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sayhamid Sharifzoda, the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan to the CSTO, Khasan Sultonov, and representatives of the Tajik media.
The CSTO International Youth School will be held in Bishkek
12.09.2019From September 11 to 14 , 2019, in Bishkek (the Kyrgyz Republic), the CSTO International Youth School will be organized by the CSTO Secretariat and the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, with the support of the Office of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic and the State Agency for Youth , Physical Culture and Sports under The Government of the Kyrgyz Republic.
The event is expected to be attended by the leadership of the CSTO Secretariat, officials of public authorities of the Kyrgyz Republic, representatives of the diplomatic corps of the CSTO member states accredited in the Kyrgyz Republic.
More than 100 students, magistrands and teachers of 10 higher educational institutions of the CSTO member states and the Republic of Serbia intend to take part in the work of the CSTO International Youth School.
The program of the CSTO International Youth School includes holding a Plenary meeting to be held in the "Ene-Sai" Reception House of the Ala-Archa State Residence, as well as several sections on regional and information security, combating terrorism and extremism, and improving education.
Within the framework of the CSTO International Youth School, it is also planned to lay flowers at the monument to the heroes of the Great Patriotic War, visit the Chingiz Aitmatov House-Museum and hold cultural events (city tour, etc.).
In 2015-2016 the four CSTO Youth Schools were held, and then the two CSTO International Youth Schools were held (in October 2017 in Belgrade, and in September 2018 in St. Petersburg).
