On May 26 of this year, a round table entitled “35 Years of the Commonwealth of Independent States: Results, Tasks, and Prospects” was held at the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation. The event was attended by heads of integration structures in the post-Soviet space, representatives of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, as well as representatives of the embassies of CIS countries in Russia. Opening remarks were delivered by the moderator, Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Grigory Karasin.

On October 19, this year, a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held under the chairmanship of the Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Armenia to the CSTO Viktor Biyagov.
In the course of the Permanent Council meeting, a draft Joint Statement of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member States on combating glorification of Nazism, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to the escalation of contemporary forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance was agreed upon. The statement is scheduled to be read at the meeting of the 3rd Committee of the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly.
