On May 25, 2026, a meeting took place at the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) between CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the Russian Federation, Kazem Jalali.
T. Masadykov and K. Jalali exchanged assessments of current regional security issues. Special attention was given to developments in the Middle East, with a focus on the situation regarding the resolution of the military conflict in the Persian Gulf.
An agreement was reached to continue working contacts.
