Today, the active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) “Frontier-2026” concluded on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the “Conduct of combat operations” stage, two main training objectives are being practiced: the occupation by the national contingents of the CRDF CAR of the area of responsibility and the destruction of illegal armed formations that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state.
The active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) “Frontier-2026” has begun at the Koktal training range in the Republic of Kazakhstan. During the exercise, the participating forces are practicing the preparation and conduct of combat operations to destroy illegal armed formations that have invaded the territory of a CSTO member state.
The CSTO mission advance team led by Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov arrived in the Republic of Armenia

In accordance with the decision of the extraordinary meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council, Colonel General Anatoly Sidorov, the advance team of the monitoring mission led by the CSTO Chief of the Joint Staff, arrived in the Republic of Armenia on September 15, 2022.
Immediately upon arrival in Yerevan, the Defense Minister of the Republic of Armenia Suren Papikyan and Colonel General Sidorov had a working meeting to discuss the situation in certain areas on the border between Armenia and Azerbaijan.
The mission is charged with formulating proposals for de-escalation of tension.
Measures are planned to study and monitor the current situation in certain border regions, as well as working meetings with the leadership of the Armenian Defense Ministry and the General Staff of the Armed Forces, the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Armenia, the border department of the Russian Federal Security Service in the Republic of Armenia and the command of the 102nd Russian military base.
