The draft statements on combating the Nazism glorification and stabilizing the situation in the Middle East and the document on the establishment of a Working group to the CMD in the area of electronic warfare 16.07.2019

On July 16, this year, a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held under the chairmanship of Aman Mambetseitov, Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Kyrgyz Republic.

The Permanent Council reviewed the draft Statement of the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states on efforts to stabilize the situation in the Middle East and North Africa and the draft Joint Statement of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states when adopting the draft resolution of the Third Committee of the 74th UN General Assembly session on the fight against the Nazism glorification, neo-Nazism and other practices that contribute to the escalation of modern forms of racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance.

A draft Decision of the Council of Ministers of Defense of the Organization was also considered. This draft Decision provides the creation of a Working Group on electronic warfare within the CMD CSTO . The purpose of developing the document is to consolidate efforts to realize the potential of the military administration organs, specialized educational and methodological, research organizations, industrial enterprises, other state and public organizations of the CSTO member states on electronic warfare issue. The relevance of this issue is due to the experience of the recent armed conflicts, characterized by the massive use of radio electronic means and means of radio electronic attack, including taking into account the peculiarities of the use of forces and means of radio electronic warfare in the Syrian Arab Republic.

It was decided to send the reviewed documents to the domestic approval.
