On September 4, 2026, consultations on “Coordinating the positions of CSTO member states on the agenda of the UN General Assembly” were held in Moscow in accordance with the Plan of Consultations of Representatives of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States on Foreign Policy, Security and Defense for 2025–2027.

06.01.2022The Collective Security Treaty Organization Secretariat confirms receipt of the Appeal for assistance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The Appeal states that this situation is seen as an invasion by gangs trained from abroad.
The Republic of Kazakhstan has held consultations with members of the CSTO Collective Security Council and sent an appeal to the heads of CSTO member States to provide military assistance to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The CSTO Collective Security Council decided to send the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces to the Republic of Kazakhstan for a limited period of time to stabilize and normalize the situation in the country.
