Today, at the Losvido training range in Belarus, the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces Commander was presented with a mandate to conduct a peacekeeping operation at the command post as part of the “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026” command-and-staff exercise.
Servicemen of the Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District (CMD) have arrived in the Republic of Belarus to take part in the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026” and the special exercise with the CSTO joint NBC protection and medical support formation “Barrier-2026”.

On January 12, this year, in Nur-Sultan, the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Mukhtar Tleuberdi met with of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Secretary General Stanislav Zas who arrived with a working visit to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the negotiations there was a detailed exchange of views on the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and the results of the January 10 extraordinary session of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
Mukhtar Tleuberdi has informed Stanislav Zas about normalization of situation in the country and restoration of constitutional order, as well as about the contents of speech of President Tokayev on January 11, this year, in the Parliament of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Kazakhstan expressed its gratitude to the Collective Security Treaty Organization for conducting the peacekeeping operation. "The CSTO peacekeeping contingent has fulfilled its mandate and is completing its mission in our country," the Foreign Minister of the Republic of Kazakhstan said.
In turn, Stanislav Zas has informed about the work carried out in the CSTO format to help resolve the situation in the Republic of Kazakhstan and expressed hope for the soonest elimination of the consequences of illegal actions of terrorist, extremist and criminal elements.
The sides expressed their readiness for further cooperation.
