On May 20, consultations of representatives (experts) of the defense agencies of the CSTO member states aimed at improving air defense and developing the CSTO Collective Aviation Forces were held via videoconference at the CSTO Joint Staff headquarters.
On May 20–21, 2026, a Coordination Meeting of Chief Narcologists of the CSTO member states was held in St. Petersburg within the framework of the Russian Federation’s chairmanship in the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
On May 19, 2026, Acting CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabayev met in Vienna with Director of the Division for Operations of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime Bo Mathiasen.
On May 19, 2026, an international round table on the topic “CSTO: together for strengthening international peace and stability” was held at the Hofburg Palace in Vienna, Austria, on the sidelines of the OSCE Forum for Security Co-operation in Europe.
On May 18, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov, together with the heads of the diplomatic missions of the CSTO member states in Vienna, took part in a solemn wreath and flower-laying ceremony at the monument to the Soviet Liberator Soldier at Schwarzenbergplatz.
The presentation of the CSTO was held for the delegation of the University of Defence of the Republic of Serbia in the Secretariat of the Organization
June 19, 2019, the CSTO Secretariat held a meeting of the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Piotr Tsikhanouski and Deputy Head of the CSTO Joint Staff Major General Sergei Kuprik with a delegation of the University of Defense of the Republic of Serbia headed by Colonel General Goran Radovanovic, rector of the University of Defense. The Serbian delegation was attended by the Secretary General of the President of the Republic of Serbia, Nikola Selakovic, who is currently a student at the University of Defense.
During the meeting, Piotr Tsikhanouski gave a briefing with a multimedia presentation on the history of the creation and activities of the CSTO as a multi-functional collective security organization created to ensure the collective security of the CSTO member states and countering new types of challenges and threats.
The CSTO Deputy Secretary General expressed confidence in the long-term perspective of cooperation with the Serbian side in all spheres, including military sphere and also the training of military personnel. In recent years the military observers from Serbia have repeatedly participated in the trainings of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces - “The Indestructible Brotherhood” ("Nerushimoe Bratstvo").
The parties confirmed their mutual interest in cooperation in key areas of regional security.
