On May 6, 2026, a meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between the CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykovand newly appointed Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the CSTO Vladimir Bespaly.
28 April marks the Day of the CSTO Joint Staff. It should be recalled that on 28 April 2003, in Dushanbe, the Collective Security Council, guided by the need to establish a military staff body responsible for implementing the military component of the Collective Security Treaty, adopted the Decision “On the Establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.”
On 27 April 2026, within the framework of the International Scientific and Practical Conference “Contours of a New Architecture of Collective Security: Current Issues of Information and Analytical Partnership within the CSTO,” held at MGIMO University of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Russia, a round table entitled “Eurasian Analytical Platform: New Approaches in a New Geopolitical Reality” took place. During the event, Head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the CSTO Secretariat Yuriy Shuvalov delivered a presentation on “The Eurasian Analytical Network: A New Cognitive Architecture of Collective Security.”
Russian and Kazakh Su-25 and Su-30SM crews will support the CSTO Collective Forces in trainings in the Republic of Kazakhstan

The Russian pilots of Su-25 aircraft together with crews of Kazakh Su-30SM from the air will support the CSTO Collective Forces at the training "Interaction-2022" in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
During the active phase of the joint training the crews of the attack aircraft will practice searching and destroying objects of a simulated enemy by launching S-8 unguided aerial missiles at targets at the "Matybulak" training range. And to reinforce the combat power of the main forces, Russian crews of Mi-8 military transport helicopters will provide an air landing by tactical means.
The combined Russian military base "Kant" is part of the Collective Forces and is involved in ensuring the security of airspace of the CSTO states. It is equipped with Su-25 attack aircrafts and Mi-8 helicopters.
Flight crews of the Air Defense Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan conduct combat sorties from their airfields located on the territory of the Republic.
