Today, at the Starodorozhsky training range in the Republic of Belarus, servicemen of the CSTO joint NBC protection and medical support formation began practical operations as part of the “Barrier-2026” special exercise.
Today, at the Losvido training range in Belarus, the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces Commander was presented with a mandate to conduct a peacekeeping operation at the command post as part of the “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026” command-and-staff exercise.
Servicemen of the Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District (CMD) have arrived in the Republic of Belarus to take part in the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026” and the special exercise with the CSTO joint NBC protection and medical support formation “Barrier-2026”.
On October 7, 2026, the Fourth Counter-Terrorism Forum opened in Minsk (Republic of Belarus), bringing together the CIS Conference on Countering Terrorism and Extremism, the SCO Regional Anti-Terrorist Structure international scientific and practical conference, and joint counter-terrorism exercises.
The ratification procedure of documents on the Status of the CSTO Observer and Partner designation and the Protocols on amendments to the fundamental documents of the CSTO has been completed
20.01.2021The ratification procedure of four Protocols on amendments to the Collective Security Treaty document, the CSTO Charter and the Agreement on the Legal Status of the Collective Security Treaty Organization has been completed by all CSTO member states:
- The Second Protocol on Amendments to the Collective Security Treaty of May 15, 1992;
- The Second Protocol on Amendments to the Agreement on the Legal Status of the Collective Security Treaty Organization of October 7, 2002;
- The Second and the Third Protocols on Amendments to the CSTO Charter.
These documents were signed on November 8, 2018, in Astana (now - Nur-Sultan) and they provide, in particular, regulatory and legal changes regarding the composition of the Collective Security Council and the legal status of the CSTO Deputy Secretaries General.
In order to further develop cooperation with states that are not members of the Organization and international organizations, the Third Protocol on Amendments to the Charter of the Collective Security Treaty Organization establishes the legal basis for granting the statuses of the Observer to the CSTO and the Partner of the Organization.
The protocols shall enter into force on January 19, 2021.
