On 22 April 2024, the CSTO Secretariat hosted a working meeting between the Deputy Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, Samat Ordabaev, and the Special Representative of the UN Secretary General for Central Asia, Head of the UN Regional Centre for Preventive Diplomacy for Central Asia (UNRCCA), Kakha Imnadze.
From 22 to 26 April, this year, the CSTO Secretariat is holding an annual training meeting for representatives of ministries and departments of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states without military status.
The meeting was held in the city of Moscow under the chairmanship of Viktor Zinoviev, Secretary of the CSTO Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation (ICMEC, Commission).
The CSTO Secretary General's Memorial Parkway was planted at the CSTO Secretariat
26.05.2022On May 26, this year, a commemorative planting of a Memorial Parkway of five cedar trees in honor of the Secretaries General who once served in the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held on the territory of the CSTO Secretariat.
The event coincided with the 30th anniversary of the signing of the Collective Security Treaty and the 20th anniversary of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.
Commemorative cedar trees were planted by: the current CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas, Nikolai Bordyuzha, who held this position from 2003 to 2016, and Yuri Khachaturov who held this position from 2017 to 2018. Two more cedar trees were planted in honor of the Collective Security Treaty Secretaries General Vladimir Zemsky (1996-2000) and Valery Nikolayenko (2000-2003).
The event was also attended by the Deputy Secretaries General Valery Semerikov, Samat Ordabayev and Takhir Khayrulloyev, invited guests and the CSTO Secretariat members.
In the solemn part of the event the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas presented Nikolai Bordyuzha and Yuri Khachaturov with commemorative plaques "20 years of the CSTO".
