From August 12 to 16, this year, at the "Gorny" firing range of the Siberian District of the Rosgvardia (Novosibirsk region), in accordance with the Plan of joint training of management bodies and formations of forces and means of the CSTO collective security system for 2024, in several stages, a special training under the code name “Cobalt-2024” will be held with special units of internal affairs, national security, internal troops (national guard), special and anti-drug services, as well as rescue and firefighting structures that are part of the formations of CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (FSSN CRRF).
During the first phase of the training, combined special forces teams from the competent authorities of the Organization's member states will carry out training and applied operational and combat tasks.
At the same time, a command-staff training session will be held with the operational staff of the CSTO CRRF FSSN Operational Headquarters on planning and conducting a special operation.
In the process of practicing training tasks, special forces from the CSTO member states will work together in conditions as close to combat as possible, will gain experience and skills in a special operation to neutralize gangs and terrorist groups, as well as to block drug smuggling channels.
As part of the second phase of the training, there will be competitions in tactical firing from combat weapons, as well as practical actions by combined special forces task forces in carrying out the earmarked tasks.
The CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov will take part in the active phase of the training and summarize its results.
