On May 13, 2025, the 41st meeting of the Working Group on Afghanistan under the CSTO Ministerial Council was held with the participation of CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabaev. The event was also attended by delegations of the Organization's member states and representatives of the UNOCT, the UNRCCA, the CIS ATC, the CIS Coordination Service of the CIS Council of Commanders of Border Troops and the ICRC.

Today, in Moscow's Red Square, parade dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 was attended by ceremonial regiments of the armed forces of the CSTO member states.

Officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers of military contingents from the armed forces of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan marched through the main square of the Russian Federation in single formation with the Russian by ceremonial regiments. The sequence of their march was determined by alphabetical order.

On April 25, 2025 in the Academy of Management of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia took place a solemn graduation of representatives of the senior staff of law enforcement agencies and services of the CSTO member states: the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, who improved their qualification in the form of specialized training on the topic “Training of personnel and leading specialists for law enforcement agencies and services of the CSTO member states”.

28 April is the Day of Establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. We recall that on 28 April 2003. in the city of Dushanbe, the Collective Security Council, guided by the need to establish a military staff body responsible for the implementation of the tasks of the military component of the Collective Security Treaty, adopted a decision on the establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.

From 12 to 14 June, in the Kyrgyz Republic, the second staff talks were held on the organization and conduct of a command-staff training with the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) "Interaction-2024", special trainings with intelligence forces and means "Search-2024" and with CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) logistics forces and means "Echelon-2024".

Representatives of the interested ministries and departments of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation, the Republic of Tajikistan, the Organization's Secretariat and a group of officers from the CSTO Joint Staff headed by Colonel Azamat Dyushembekov took part in the staff talks under the general guidance of Colonel Artur Temirov, the First Deputy Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In the course of staff talks, the plan of the trainings, issues of the organization of leadership, the composition of the national contingents' management bodies and units to be trained, the procedure for practical exercises and the organization of comprehensive support were clarified and agreed upon.

Reconnaissance of the area of the trainings planned for the fall of this year has been carried out: it will be the territory of the training center of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic "Edelweiss".

The CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces are designed to respond promptly to challenges and threats to the security of the CSTO member states. The CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces comprise mobile formations and military units of permanent readiness of the armed forces of the CSTO member states, fully manned, equipped with modern and compatible weapons and military (special) equipment, as well as formations of special-purpose forces from among the special units of the internal affairs (police), security and special services bodies and authorized bodies in the field of prevention and elimination of the consequences of emergency situations. The total number of personnel is more than 30,000.
