On October 30, 2024, the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov met with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov in Minsk. The CSTO Secretary General arrived in Minsk to participate in the II Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security.
The subregional anti-drug operation “Kanal-Avangard” was carried out in the territory of CSTO member states in order to suppress the flow of drugs, their precursors and analogues and new psychoactive and potent substances into the CSTO region of responsibility, to neutralize international transnational drug groups and to eliminate clandestine drug production and undermine the economic foundations of the drug business, including the legalization of drug profits.
Consultations of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the CSTO member states were held in Yerevan
07.10.2022On October 7, 2022 in Yerevan, under the chairmanship of the Armenian side, the consultations of the Deputy Foreign Ministers of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states were held with the participation of the delegations of the Secretariat and the Joint Staff headed by the CSTO Deputy Secretary General Samat Ordabaev.
In the course of the meeting, a package of documents consisting of 16 drafts on topical issues of political and military-technical cooperation among the member states of the Organization was discussed in detail. As a result of consultations, a number of drafts were finalized and agreed upon.
The event was an important step in preparation for the upcoming meetings of the CSTO statutory bodies, scheduled for November of this year.
Consultations were held in accordance with the Action Plan for the implementation of decisions of the September (2021) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the implementation of the priority activities of the Organization during the presidency of the Republic of Armenia.
