On 13 February, a traditional meeting was held in Moscow between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and the chairs of the parliamentary committees (commissions) of the CSTO member states responsible for international relations, defense and security. CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and ambassadors of the Organization’s member states also took part in the event.

Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils (CSSC) Sergey Shoigu gave an extensive interview to the Interfax news agency, in which he commented on the key areas of the Organization’s activities in 2026.
On 12 February, a briefing was held at the CSTO Crisis Response Center by Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Colonel General Andrey Nikolaevich Serdyukov on the topic “Results of the joint training of command and control bodies and forces of the CSTO collective security system in 2025 and tasks for 2026.”
President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbay Jeenbekov met with the CSTO Acting Secretary General Valery Semerikov in Bishkek
On November 25, 2019, in Bishkek, President of the Kyrgyz Republic, Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council Sooronbay Jeenbekov received the Acting Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Valery Semerikov.
Valery Semerikov informed the head of the Kyrgyz Republic about the implementation of the Action Plan for the implementation of the decisions of the November (2018) session of the CSTO Collective Security Council and the priorities proposed by the Kyrgyz Republic for the period of the chairmanship of the Organization. The successful chairmanship of the Kyrgyz Republic in the CSTO was noted, as well as the fact that all the identified priorities were fully implemented. He also provided information on the readiness of the documents submitted for consideration by the Council of Foreign Ministers, the Council of Ministers of Defense , the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils and the session of the CSTO Collective Security Council on November 27–28, 2019, in Bishkek.
In turn, Sooronbai Jeenbekov noted that the Kyrgyz Republic is interested in enhancing the role and importance of the CSTO in considering topical issues of the regional and international agenda. An exchange of views also took place on topical issues of cooperation within the Organization and preparation for the upcoming meeting of the CSTO Collective Security Council.
