In the Russian Federation, at the Chebarkulsky training range, particular attention is being paid to organizing the evacuation and repair of damaged equipment under the threat of enemy UAV attacks during the special exercise with the logistics forces and assets of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) “Echelon-2026”.
Today, at the Chebarkulsky training range in the Russian Federation, as part of the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Collective Operational Reaction Forces (CORF) “Interaction-2026”, joint actions to liberate a populated area captured by a simulated adversary were practiced.
On September 29–30, 2026, the 6th International Conference of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on the spread of extremist ideology was held in Moscow. The CSTO delegation, comprising Umar Umarzoda, Head of the Department for Countering Challenges and Threats, and Igor Demchenko, Adviser to the Department, took part in the conference.

On 16 November, at 11:00 a.m. (Moscow time), the International Multimedia Press Centre of the “Rossiya Segodnya” International Media Group hosted a briefing by Colonel-General Anatoly Alekseevich Sidorov, Chief of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization, in the format of a videoconferencing between Moscow and Yerevan - Minsk - Astana - Bishkek on the main results of the “Combat Brotherhood-2023” joint operational-strategic training.
As part of this large-scale training in September-October 2023 in the Eastern European and Central Asian regions, a set of measures to prevent and resolve a military conflict and post-conflict settlement was practiced with the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces).
The Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff also spoke about the main results of the CSTO Joint Staff's activities to improve the military component of the Organization, including the development of the collective security system, the Crisis Response Centre, military-technical cooperation and coordination of personnel training for the armed forces of the CSTO member states.
