At the Losvido training range in the Republic of Belarus, peacekeeping units practiced tactical procedures at a stationary checkpoint as part of the process of coordinating units and practicing joint actions during the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026”.
Today, at the Starodorozhsky training range in the Republic of Belarus, servicemen of the CSTO joint NBC protection and medical support formation began practical operations as part of the “Barrier-2026” special exercise.
Today, at the Losvido training range in Belarus, the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces Commander was presented with a mandate to conduct a peacekeeping operation at the command post as part of the “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026” command-and-staff exercise.
Servicemen of the Combined Arms Army of the Central Military District (CMD) have arrived in the Republic of Belarus to take part in the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2026” and the special exercise with the CSTO joint NBC protection and medical support formation “Barrier-2026”.

On September 3, 2020, in the format of a videoconferencing, scheduled consultations of representatives of the CSTO member states were held on the agenda of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly. The consultations were attended by the Deputy Secretary General of the CSTO Alymbay Sultanov, heads and leading experts of the relevant departments of the ministries of foreign affairs of the CSTO member states and the CSTO Secretariat.
The participants of the consultations thoroughly discussed the issues of interaction of the CSTO member states in the course of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly, which opens in New York on September 15, this year.
The special importance of joint actions of the CSTO member states in the UN in favor of integrating efforts of the world community was emphasized in the context of the aggravation of the situation in the world and the spread of terrorism, deteriorated by the emergency situation caused by the COVID-19 pandemic, in order to solve the key task of the UN - to ensure peace and global stability.
Particular attention was paid to the coordination of positions on such key topical issues as the development of the situation in Afghanistan and around it, the participation of the CSTO in the UN peacekeeping activities. They also exchanged views on a number of draft joint statements, which the CSTO member states plan to accept in the course of the 75th session of the UN General Assembly.
