From June 2 to 4, the Republic of Belarus hosted the second staff talks on the organization and conduct of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces command-and-staff exercise “Indestructible Brotherhood 2026” and the special exercise “Barrier 2026” involving the CSTO Joint CBRN Protection and Medical Support Formation.
On June 3, 2026, a regular meeting of the CSTO Council of Defense Ministers (CDM) was held at the Patriot Central Park of the Russian Ministry of Defense under the chairmanship of the Russian side. On May 28, 2026, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov took part in the International Security Forum held under the auspices of the Security Council of the Russian Federation. More than 150 delegations from 120 countries participated in the event.

On June 19, 2025, Chairman of the CSTO Collective Security Council, President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sadyr Japarov held a meeting with the secretaries of the security councils of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) in the city of Cholpon-Ata.
During the meeting, the President of Kyrgyzstan focused on key challenges to regional security. He stressed the complexity and ambiguity of the current international agenda, pointing out the importance of continuing to monitor the situation in Afghanistan. The Head of State highlighted terrorism as a special threat requiring collective action and non-standard approaches, as well as the need to counter the spread of extremism, drug trafficking and transnational organized crime. The President called for a sober assessment of the situation and the adoption of joint proactive measures to strengthen regional stability.
The Secretaries of the Security Councils of the CSTO member states reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening cooperation and stressed the importance of jointly countering modern threats, including terrorism, extremism and cybercrime.
At the end of the meeting, Sadyr Japarov thanked the participants for their constructive cooperation for the benefit of collective security.
