The Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov received the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states and the Secretary General of the Organization in Cholpon-Ata on June 30. The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan.
On June 30, 2025, a regular meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers was held in Cholpon-Ata (the Kyrgyz Republic) under the chairmanship of the Kyrgyz side, which was attended by the Organization's Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov.
Safar Umarzoda, Head of the Department for Countering Challenges and Threats of the CSTO Secretariat, took part in a special event (side-event) on "Countering Radicalization leading to terrorism and Extremism" organized by the Russian Federation on the margins of the OSCE Annual Conference on Security Review, where he reported on the measures taken by the CSTO on countering terrorism and extremism, and willingness to share the experience gained.
A working meeting of the heads of the medical services of the defense departments of the CSTO member states on the improvement of medical support for the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) was held

On April 20, 2021, under the general supervision of the Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel-General Anatoly Sidorov, a working meeting of the heads of the medical services of the defense departments of the CSTO member states on improving medical support for the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) was held.
The CSTO Crisis Response Center in Moscow was attended by the Chief of the Main Military Medical Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation Dmitry Trishkin, and the representatives of the profile department of the Ministry of Defense of Russia and the CSTO Joint Staff. The heads of the medical services of the defense departments and the chief military medical specialists of the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan took part in the joint event via videoconferencing.
The meeting participants paid special attention to the discussion of the development of common approaches to the organization of medical support for the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) and the preparation of methodological recommendations on the organization of medical support for the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces).
The head of the medical service of the CSTO Joint Staff, Colonel of the Medical Service, Ivan Pchelnikov, made a presentation on the formation of a combined special purpose medical detachment as part of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces and the inclusion of specialists from the CSTO member states. He noted that the specified medical unit could be effectively used as a medical and evacuation unit designed to provide specialized medical care to victims of emergencies of a social, natural, man-made and biological nature, as well as to the wounded and sick in the course of performing tasks by the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces.
The issues of medical support for the joint trainings of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces), held in 2021, were discussed. The head of the Medical Service Department of the Ministry of Defense of the Republic of Tajikistan, Colonel of the Medical Service Umar Islomzada, made a report on this topic. The order of epidemiological response for the arrival, participation and departure of contingents from joint trainings has been determined. The necessity of organizing barrier examinations of personnel upon arrival in the training areas was emphasized.
The working meeting participants heard information on improving the organization of epidemiological response to the new coronavirus infection COVID-19 in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation.
As a result of the event, the working meeting participants agreed to continue the exchange of information on organizing epidemiological response for the new coronavirus infection COVID-19, as well as on other topical issues of medical support for the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces).
