On May 18, CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov, together with the heads of the diplomatic missions of the CSTO member states in Vienna, took part in a solemn wreath and flower-laying ceremony at the monument to the Soviet Liberator Soldier at Schwarzenbergplatz.

On behalf of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and on my own behalf, please accept my deepest condolences on the tragedy resulting in casualties at the Kostenko mine of the Coal Department of “Arcelor Mital Temirtau” JSC.
Sharing with you the pain of this great loss, I express my sincere condolences to all Kazakhstanis and especially to those who have lost loved ones. I ask you to convey words of sympathy and support to the families of the victims, as well as wishes for a speedy recovery to the injured. We grieve with you at this difficult time.
We are confident that all necessary measures will be taken to provide assistance to the families of the dead and injured.
