In Kazakhstan, a joint command-staff training with the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces (CPF) began practicing combat training tasks at checkpoints, roadblocks and refugee reception points, escorting convoys and cargoes, and providing humanitarian assistance. On the eve of the training, Major General Almaz Dzhumakeyev, head of the training, presented the commander of the CPF with a mandate to prepare and conduct a peacekeeping operation.

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, on September 26, 2024, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, a working meeting of foreign ministers of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held. This meeting occurs annually on the margins of the UN General Assembly.

The CSTO representatives took part in international conference on combating terrorism and extremism

On 20 September 2023, in Bishkek, an international conference on combating terrorism and extremism was held. The event was organized by the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic and the Anti-Terrorist Centre of the CIS member states.

The Conference was attended by the heads of the competent bodies of the CIS and the SCO member states and the working and executive bodies of international organizations, including the CSTO Secretariat and the CSTO Joint Staff.

National experiences in the fight against terrorism and extremism were exchanged during the Conference.

Taking into account the discussion, the Conference participants noted the importance of continuing the work aimed at harmonizing the legislation of the CIS member states in the area of counter-terrorism and increasing the level of cooperation between the competent authorities and international organizations, including in the area of information exchange.

The Conference resulted in the adoption of the Final Document.
