The CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov told RIA Novosti, commenting on the terrorist attack in “Crocus City Hall” that terrorism was used in hybrid warfare, provoked inter-ethnic and inter-religious discord, so the CSTO member states needed tools to counter this phenomenon.
In the period from 12 to 13 March 2024, in the Collective Security Treaty Organization, a strategic command and staff training is being conducted under the supervision of Colonel-General Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the Joint Staff, during which issues related to stabilizing the situation in the Central Asian region of collective security in the context of the growing threat of a crisis situation are being worked out.

On 11 March 2024, the CSTO Secretariat hosted a round table on "Cooperation in the Information and Analytical Sphere to Ensure Collective Security" on the occasion of the Tajik Press Day. The CSTO Permanent Council considered the Plan for the preparation of command and control bodies and formations of the assets of the collective security system for 2022
05.02.2021On February 5, this year, under the chairmanship of the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Tajikistan Hasan Sultonov, a meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held in via videoconferencing. The CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas took part in the meeting.
The draft Plan of joint training of command and control bodies and formations of the assets of the CSTO collective security system for 2022 was reviewed. The Permanent Council made a decision to send the document for domestic approval to the member states of the Organization.
