Ordabayev and the CSTO Deputy Secretary General T. Masadykov. The Chairman of the Coordination Council of Heads of Competent Authorities for Countering Illicit Drug Trafficking of Collective Security Treaty Organization member states, Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, Police Colonel-General Andrei Khrapov, summarized the preliminary results of the subregional anti-drug operation "Channel - Far Eastern Raid"..

The event, which took place in Vladivostok, was attended by the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus - Chief of Criminal Police Major General of Police Gennady Kazakevich, Chief of the Service for Combating Illegal Drug Trafficking of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic, Colonel of Police Ulanbek Sultanov, First Deputy Director of the Drug Control Agency under the President of the Republic of Tajikistan Major General of the Drug Control Service Rakhmonali Rakhimzoda, First Deputy Director of Rosfinmonitoring Oleg Krylov, Chairman of the Committee of Heads of Law Enforcement Units of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of the member states of the Council of Independent States, Deputy Head of the Federal Customs Service of Russia, Oleg Gubaidulin.

The operation took place from 24 to 28 June this year on the territory of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states. Law enforcement agencies, border and customs services, state security agencies, financial intelligence units of the CSTO member states, as well as observers - law enforcement officers of the People's Republic of China, representatives of the Eurasian Group on Combating Money Laundering and Financing of Terrorism, the Council of Heads of Financial Intelligence Units of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Committee of Heads of Law Enforcement Units of the Council of Heads of Customs Services of CIS member states, United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime participated in the operation took part in the event. The objectives of the operation are to cut off the channels for the flow of drugs and new psychoactive and potent substances into the CSTO areas of responsibility, to neutralize international transnational drug groups, to eliminate clandestine drug production facilities, to undermine the economic foundations of the drug trade and to suppress the legalization of proceeds of crime.

The international coordination headquarters for managing the operation was deployed at the Far Eastern Federal University on Russky Island in Vladivostok. Representatives of delegations from the CSTO countries, the Far Eastern Customs Directorate, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation, the Government of Primorsky Krai and observers gathered here.

Addressing the meeting participants, Andrey Khrapov noted that the fight against drug trafficking was one of the priority areas of cooperation in the CSTO format. The Deputy Minister outlined the topical areas of joint activities in this area and called for close cooperation between the agencies concerned in order to counter the global drug threat more effectively.

According to preliminary data, as a result of concerted actions in the territory of CSTO member states, 522 offences related to illicit trafficking in narcotic drugs were uncovered, including 154 committed in group forms. 9 cases of legalization of drug proceeds were documented. 536 Internet sites were identified through which prohibited information related to drugs and psychoactive substances was disseminated. 78 firearms and almost 5,000 rounds of ammunition were seized.

During the operation, the financial intelligence units of the EAG member countries identified 27,000 suspicious financial transactions, 300 citizens for a total amount of more than 16 billion rubles.

In addition, the competent authorities of the CSTO member states conducted a number of international controlled deliveries. In the course of these operations, a number of smuggling channels for controlled substances were disrupted. About a ton of drugs and psychoactive substances were seized.

The “Channel-Far East Raid” operation helped to resolve practical tasks to stabilize the situation in the CSTO area of responsibility. New joint steps are planned to ensure anti-drug security.

During the event, SOBR Rosgvardia soldiers demonstrated practical actions to arrest armed organizers of drug trafficking.

Members of the International Coordination Staff visited the Vladivostok Commercial Sea Port, which is one of the main transport hubs in the Far East and plays an important role in international transport in the Asia-Pacific region. There they were familiarized with the organization of customs control activities. Operationally relevant information and best practices for uncovering drug smuggling channels were exchanged.

In memory of those who died during the Great Patriotic War, the participants of the event laid flowers and a garland at the Eternal Flame of the Memorial "Battle Glory of the Pacific Fleet", and honored the memory of the Primorsky Krai internal affairs officers who died in the line of duty.
