On 13 February, a traditional meeting was held in Moscow between the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Sergey Lavrov and the chairs of the parliamentary committees (commissions) of the CSTO member states responsible for international relations, defense and security. CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and ambassadors of the Organization’s member states also took part in the event.

Secretary of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, Chairman of the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils (CSSC) Sergey Shoigu gave an extensive interview to the Interfax news agency, in which he commented on the key areas of the Organization’s activities in 2026.
On 12 February, a briefing was held at the CSTO Crisis Response Center by Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff Colonel General Andrey Nikolaevich Serdyukov on the topic “Results of the joint training of command and control bodies and forces of the CSTO collective security system in 2025 and tasks for 2026.”
On events devoted to the discussion of issues in the field of international information security within the framework of the CSTO

On October 11, 2024 in Moscow on the initiative of the Russian side a set of events on the subject of international information security in the CSTO space was held.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation Mr. Vershinin met with delegations of the CSTO member states and representatives of the CSTO Secretariat in the format of a briefing, during which information was presented on the results of discussions on international information security issues during the high-level week of the UN General Assembly held in New York from 23 to 27 September this year. The importance of further strengthening cooperation of the CSTO member states, based on respect for all positions, in the sphere of international information security on multilateral platforms: the United Nations, CIS, SCO, ITU, OSCE and others was emphasized.
The discussions continued in the format of interdepartmental consultations on enhancing politico-military cooperation in the field of international information security, modern challenges in the sphere of information security in the Organization's area of responsibility and countering them, including many aspects, including the deployment of new low-orbit satellite systems for Internet communications.
Special attention was paid to the development of new principles and norms of international law on regulating the safe use of information and communication technologies, combating crimes in the infosphere, exchange of information on national strategies and legislative approaches in the field of information security. The demand for cooperation on training of personnel in the field of information security was emphasized.
At the end of the events, the Russian side took note of the information on its readiness to hold another round of consultations on this subject in 2025.
