Safar Umarzoda, Head of the Department for Countering Challenges and Threats of the CSTO Secretariat, took part in a special event (side-event) on "Countering Radicalization leading to terrorism and Extremism" organized by the Russian Federation on the margins of the OSCE Annual Conference on Security Review, where he reported on the measures taken by the CSTO on countering terrorism and extremism, and willingness to share the experience gained.

On June 19, 2025, in Bosteri, Issyk-Kul region of the Kyrgyz Republic, the XIX meeting of the Council of the Advisory Coordination Center of the Collective Security Treaty Organization on Computer Incident Response (CSTO CCC) was held, which was attended by delegations of representatives of national authorized bodies for responding to computer incidents of the CSTO member states.

On June 24-26, the second staff negotiations were held in the Kyrgyz Republic on the organization and conduct an operational meeting with the Command of the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CAR CRDF) and a command and staff training with units of the CAR CRDF "Rubezh-2025", conducted as part of the joint operational and strategic training "Combat Brotherhood-2025".

From 28 to 30 June, this year, the Kyrgyz Republic hosted the second staff talks on the preparation and conduct of the "Indestructible Brotherhood-2022" command-staff training with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces. The event took place in accordance with the Plan for joint training of command and control bodies and formations of the forces and means of the Collective Security Treaty Organization's Collective Security System for 2022.

Representatives of concerned ministries and departments of the CSTO member States, the CSTO Secretariat and a group of officers headed by Colonel Emilbek Tukaev, Deputy Head of the CSTO Joint Staff, took part in the negotiations, which took place at the Combat Training Center of the Armed Forces of the Kyrgyz Republic.

In the course of the second staff talks, the idea of the joint training was reviewed, the composition of peacekeeping contingents of the CSTO member States and issues of comprehensive support were clarified. A reconnaissance of the area where the training will take place - the territory of the “Edelweiss” training center - was conducted.

The command-staff training "Indestructible Brotherhood-2022" with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces is held in 2022 at the final stage of the joint trainings of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) and is aimed at practicing the preparation and conduct of peacekeeping operations, as well as tasks of post-conflict settlement.

Peacekeeping contingents from the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan are involved in the "Indestructible Brotherhood-2022" training. Representatives of the International Committee of the Red Cross will be invited to the training.

Trainings with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces "Indestructible Brotherhood" have been conducted as part of joint training since 2012.
</p>
<p>
The CSTO member States' peacekeeping contingents are specially trained military, militia (police) and civilian personnel, as well as forces and means provided by the member States to the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces. The total number of personnel is about 3,800. For participation in a particular peacekeeping operation, the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces are created out of the Peacekeeping Forces.

The high level of joint operational and combat training of command and control bodies and formations of the forces and means of collective security was confirmed by practical actions of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces in January 2022 during the provision of assistance to the Republic of Kazakhstan.
