On September 4, 2026, consultations on “Coordinating the positions of CSTO member states on the agenda of the UN General Assembly” were held in Moscow in accordance with the Plan of Consultations of Representatives of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Member States on Foreign Policy, Security and Defense for 2025–2027.
On September 4 this year, a round table entitled “CSTO–SCO: Security Space” was held as part of the business program of the Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
Today, a briefing was held by Colonel General Andrey Nikolaevich Serdyukov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, on the topic “On the readiness of command and control bodies and formations of the CSTO collective security system forces and assets to conduct joint exercises.”

Working meeting held between CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov and UN Assistant Secretary-General Alexander Zuev
On July 14, 2026, a working meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov and UN Assistant Secretary-General Alexander Zuev.
The meeting focused on issues related to the implementation of the United Nations Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.
Valery Semerikov briefed Alexander Zuev on the measures being implemented within the CSTO framework to carry out the action plan supporting the implementation of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy.
Alexander Zuev highlighted the new United Nations General Assembly resolution on the ninth review of the UN Global Counter-Terrorism Strategy, as well as preparations for the upcoming regional meeting on preventing the supply of weapons to terrorists in Central Asia.
The meeting also addressed issues related to strengthening interaction and cooperation between the CSTO Secretariat and the relevant UN bodies responsible for coordinating efforts to counter security challenges and threats.
