The Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov received the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of the CSTO member states and the Secretary General of the Organization in Cholpon-Ata on June 30. The meeting was attended by the Foreign Ministers of Kyrgyzstan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Russia and Tajikistan.

Safar Umarzoda, Head of the Department for Countering Challenges and Threats of the CSTO Secretariat, took part in a special event (side-event) on "Countering Radicalization leading to terrorism and Extremism" organized by the Russian Federation on the margins of the OSCE Annual Conference on Security Review, where he reported on the measures taken by the CSTO on countering terrorism and extremism, and willingness to share the experience gained.

On November 23, the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas will take part in an interactive dialogue between the UN Secretary General and the leaders of international organizations on the topic "Impact of the COVID-19 pandemic for peace and security" 20.11.2020

On November 23, this year, the CSTO Secretary General Stanislav Zas will take part in a high-level interactive dialogue with the leaders of regional and other international organizations, which will be held at the initiative of the UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres. The event will be held via videoconferencing.

In the course of the dialogue, it is planned to discuss the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic for peace and security, including a global call by the UN Secretary General for a ceasefire, as well as improving global governance in the field of international peace and security.
