CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov meets with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov
On October 30, 2024, the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov met with Belarusian Foreign Minister Maxim Ryzhenkov in Minsk. The CSTO Secretary General arrived in Minsk to participate in the II Minsk International Conference on Eurasian Security.

The subregional anti-drug operation “Kanal-Avangard” was carried out in the territory of CSTO member states in order to suppress the flow of drugs, their precursors and analogues and new psychoactive and potent substances into the CSTO region of responsibility, to neutralize international transnational drug groups and to eliminate clandestine drug production and undermine the economic foundations of the drug business, including the legalization of drug profits.
OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger will visit the CSTO Secretariat and take part in the meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization

April 25th of this year CSTO Acting Secretary General Valery Semerikov will meet with Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Thomas Greming, who is on a visit to the Russian Federation.
During the visit, T.Greminger will visit the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization by agreement of the parties. The participation of Thomas Greming in the meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council is envisaged. The CSTO Acting Secretary General V. Semerikov will have a talk with him, during which the sides will exchange views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, interaction of organizations in countering contemporary challenges and threats.
CSTO relations with the OSCE have been steadily developing in recent decades. T.Greminger, who has held the post of OSCE Secretary General since July 2017, will visit the CSTO Secretariat in this capacity for the third time. Regular contacts between the two organizations at various levels contribute to the improvement of mutual understanding and the development of a constructive dialogue in the interests of de-escalating tensions, strengthening security and stability in Europe.
