On June 25, representatives of the Collective Security Treaty Organization took part in the opening ceremony of the International Military-Technical Forum Army-2019, which was launched for the fifth time in the Patriot Convention and Exhibition Center near Moscow.
Opening the anniversary event, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation, Yuri Borisov, called the large-scale military equipment exhibition organized as part of the forum as "looking for foreign customers."
“Part of the exhibit may interest potential customers and turn into contracts,” said Borisov. - On this forum there are many new products with modern models of tank technology, upgraded samples of army aviation as well as a lot of high-precision weapons, intelligence, electronic suppression, robotics ". According to Yuri Borisov, the military-technical forum "Army-2019" for 5 years has become a Russian brand and has become one of the world's best platforms for demonstrating military weapons, where you can see everything not only in static, but also in dynamic mode, touch everything and make sure the technical specifications stated. He further wished the participants constructive work, new contacts and conclusion of agreements.
The Minister of Defense of the Russian Federation, Army General Sergei Shoigu, the Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation Denis Manturov, the Director General of the "Rosteh" Corporation, Sergey Chemezov, also addressed guests and participants with words of welcome from the main forum scene.
According to the organizers, the event not only surpasses the previous forums in its scale, size, exposure, number of participants and exhibits, but also significantly differs in the saturation of scientific, business and demonstration programs and sets new national and international records.
According to preliminary estimates, more than 1,500 enterprises and organizations that represent about 27,000 samples of products, technologies and solutions take part in the forum. The delegations from 110 countries attended the forum, including more than 40 defense ministers and chiefs of the General Staff. The exhibition features 10 national expositions from Armenia, Belarus, India, Kazakhstan, China, and Turkey. For the first time, Thailand and South Africa are participating in such an exhibition. In addition to Russian and international specialists, "Army-2019" will attract hundreds of thousands of ordinary visitors who get acquainted with military equipment, including at demonstration shows, and will be able to appreciate the skills of military and technical specialists.
