In Kazakhstan, a joint command-staff training with the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces (CPF) began practicing combat training tasks at checkpoints, roadblocks and refugee reception points, escorting convoys and cargoes, and providing humanitarian assistance. On the eve of the training, Major General Almaz Dzhumakeyev, head of the training, presented the commander of the CPF with a mandate to prepare and conduct a peacekeeping operation.
Today, in the Republic of Kazakhstan, at the training range “Bereg”, the opening ceremony of the active phase of the command-staff training with the Peacekeeping Forces of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) “Indestructible Brotherhood-2024” was held.
On September 30, 2024, in Almaty, under the chairmanship of the First Vice-Minister of Health of the Republic of Kazakhstan T.S. Sultangaziev, the IV meeting of the Coordination Council of authorized bodies of the CSTO member states on biological security issues was held.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kazakhstan, on September 26, 2024, under the chairmanship of the Deputy Prime Minister - Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan Murat Nurtleu, a working meeting of foreign ministers of the member states of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) was held. This meeting occurs annually on the margins of the UN General Assembly.
On 25-26 September 2024, the IV International Conference on the Spread of Extremist Ideology, organized by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation, was held in Moscow.
The XXII meeting of the CSTO Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation was held
20.09.2024The XXII meeting of the Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held in Bishkek (the Kyrgyz Republic) on 20 September 2024.
The meeting participants have reviewed the results of the Commission's work on the implementation of the decisions of the XXI ICWEC meeting held in April last year in Dushanbe. Based on the results of the exchange of views, a number of important decisions were adopted on the further development of military-economic cooperation in the CSTO format.
In particular, agreement has been completed on the draft Concept for the development of cooperation and integration ties between enterprises and organizations of the defense-industrial (military-industrial) complexes of the member states. The draft decision of the CSTO Collective Security Council on this issue after it interstate coordination in the CSTO member states will be submitted in accordance with the established procedure by the CSTO Collective Security Council.
Decisions have been taken on the establishment of an interstate system for cataloguing supplies for the armed forces of the CSTO member states and on the mutual protection of rights to the results of intellectual activity obtained and used in the course of military-economic cooperation within the CSTO.
The Commission approved the List of international exhibitions to be held in 2025-2026, at which expositions of military, dual-use and special-purpose products and technologies of the CSTO member states may be formed.
In connection with the forthcoming anniversary of the activities of the CSTO Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation in June 2025 - the 20th anniversary of its establishment - it was decided to hold in 2025 the CSTO Second Military-Economic Conference with a view to summing up the results of the work over the past period and defining tasks for the further development of military-economic cooperation in the Organization's format.
The Commission's Work Plan for 2025 was also approved.
It was decided to hold the next XXIII ICWEC meeting in September-October 2025 in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
