In the Russian Federation, at the Chebarkulsky training range, particular attention is being paid to organizing the evacuation and repair of damaged equipment under the threat of enemy UAV attacks during the special exercise with the logistics forces and assets of the CSTO Troops (Collective Forces) “Echelon-2026”.
Today, at the Chebarkulsky training range in the Russian Federation, as part of the command-and-staff exercise with the CSTO Collective Operational Reaction Forces (CORF) “Interaction-2026”, joint actions to liberate a populated area captured by a simulated adversary were practiced.
On September 29–30, 2026, the 6th International Conference of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation on the spread of extremist ideology was held in Moscow. The CSTO delegation, comprising Umar Umarzoda, Head of the Department for Countering Challenges and Threats, and Igor Demchenko, Adviser to the Department, took part in the conference.
In the Russian Federation, at the Chebarkulsky training range, reconnaissance groups have begun practicing practical actions in designated areas as part of the CSTO special exercise with reconnaissance forces and assets “Search-2026”.
OSCE Secretary General Thomas Greminger will visit the CSTO Secretariat and take part in the meeting of the Permanent Council of the Collective Security Treaty Organization
22.04.2019April 25th of this year CSTO Acting Secretary General Valery Semerikov will meet with Secretary General of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe Thomas Greminger, who is on a visit to the Russian Federation.
During the visit, Mr.Greminger will visit the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization by agreement of the parties. The participation of Thomas Greming in the meeting of the CSTO Permanent Council is envisaged. The CSTO Acting Secretary General Mr. Semerikov will have a talk with him, during which the sides will exchange views on a wide range of issues of mutual interest, discuss issues of bilateral cooperation, interaction of organizations in countering contemporary challenges and threats.
CSTO relations with the OSCE have been steadily developing in recent decades. Mr.Greminger, who has held the post of OSCE Secretary General since July 2017, will visit the CSTO Secretariat in this capacity for the third time. Regular contacts between the two organizations at various levels contribute to the improvement of mutual understanding and the development of a constructive dialogue in the interests of de-escalating tensions, strengthening security and stability in Europe.
