On May 6, 2026, a meeting was held at the CSTO Secretariat between the CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykovand newly appointed Permanent and Plenipotentiary Representative of the Republic of Belarus to the CSTO Vladimir Bespaly.
28 April marks the Day of the CSTO Joint Staff. It should be recalled that on 28 April 2003, in Dushanbe, the Collective Security Council, guided by the need to establish a military staff body responsible for implementing the military component of the Collective Security Treaty, adopted the Decision “On the Establishment of the Joint Staff of the Collective Security Treaty Organization.”

On February 2, 2021, at 12.00 Moscow time, the press center of the TASS news agency will host an online briefing by the Secretary General of the Collective Security Treaty Organization Stanislav Zas on the topic “The military-political situation in the area of responsibility of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and around it, the results of the CSTO activities in 2020 and the tasks for 2021” with video connection of media representatives by prior accreditation.
At the end of 2020, meetings of the CSTO statutory bodies were held - the Collective Security Council, the Council of Ministers of Defense, the Council of Foreign Ministers and the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils, at which an assessment of the military-political situation in the area of responsibility of the Collective Security Treaty Organization and around it at present was given, important documents were signed concerning the coordination of the CSTO's foreign policy activities, the development of the military component of the Organization and countering modern challenges and threats. The CSTO Collective Security Council Declaration was adopted, tasks were set to implement the Organization's priorities in 2021.
Stanislav Zas will also inform about important steps to develop the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces to participate in peacekeeping operations under the auspices of the UN.
The CSTO includes the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia, and the Republic of Tajikistan.
