Moscow. July 16. INTERFAX.RU - In 2020 Russia holds the presidency of the Collective Security Treaty Organization. Currently, the CSTO includes the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia and the Republic of Tajikistan. The key provision of the treaty is the possibility of collective protection of the member states of the Organization in the event of aggression against one of them. Rashid Nurgaliyev, the Deputy Secretary of the Russian Security Council, spoke in an interview with “Interfax” about how cooperation was organized within the CSTO, how partners interact in the context of the coronavirus pandemic and the prospects for the development of the CSTO.

MOSCOW, April 15. / TASS /. The meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils of the CSTO countries, originally scheduled for April 16, has been adjourned due to the spread of coronavirus. This was announced to TASS on Wednesday by the organization’s Press Secretary Vladimir Zaynetdinov.

"The meeting of the Committee of Secretaries of CSTO Security Councils was adjourned. It was scheduled for April 16. It was decided to adjourn it to a later date," Zaynetdinov said, adding that the decision was related to the coronavirus pandemic.

For now, Spokesman's Service Department has no information regarding the new meeting date, that will take place as a video-conference meeting.

The date of the meeting of the CSTO Council of Foreign Ministers remains undetermined.

The Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils is an advisory and executive body of the organization for coordinating the interaction of member states in the field of ensuring their national security.

The CSTO includes Russia, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic and the Republic of Tajikistan.

In the Republic of Tajikistan, the final stage of the trainings "Indestructible Brotherhood-2019" began

Military contingents from the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tajikistan participated in the counter-terrorist operation. The first to repel the terrorist attack began the military officers of the 201st Russian base and air assault company. Aviation of the Central Military Region relocated to the Republic of Tajikistan for the training “Indestructable Brotherhood-2019”They temporarily suspended  the enemy attack, but the criminal gangs continued to drive the units of the collective forces. Then the defenders intentionally retreated deep into the Republic of Tajikistan and, dragging the terrorists into the "fire bag", struck the enemy.

The artillery with the "Grad" multiple rocket launcher systems finally helped to deal with the bandits. From the air, troops were covered by fighters and helicopters. Helicopter carousel: CSTO troops near Afghanistan's borders annihilated "militants"The surviving formations of the terrorists began to retreat, but the pilots beat them completely by "fire" carousel.

Recall, that the trainings “Indestructible Brotherhood - 2019” are held in Russia, the Republic of Belarus and the Republic of Tajikistan. In Mulino, backup folks and supplies trained their skills, then intelligence established interaction at three Belarusian training grounds in the conditions of maximum secrecy, and then the strike forces entered the battle.
