From July 7 to 9, second staff talks were held in the Russian Federation on the organization and conduct of the CSTO Collective Rapid Reaction Forces (CRRF) command-and-staff exercise “Interaction-2026”, the special reconnaissance exercise “Poisk-2026”, and the logistics support exercise “Echelon-2026”.

In accordance with the 2026 Action Plan of the Coordinating Council of Heads of the Competent Authorities for Countering Illicit Drug Trafficking of the CSTO Member States, and as part of the Russian Federation's priorities during its 2026 CSTO Chairmanship, the sub-regional counter-narcotics operation “Kanal – Amber Coast” was conducted from June 29 to July 3, 2026. The operation was aimed at disrupting trafficking routes for narcotic drugs, their precursors and analogues, new psychoactive substances, and potent substances into the CSTO area of responsibility, neutralizing international transnational drug trafficking groups, dismantling clandestine drug production facilities, undermining the economic foundations of the drug trade, including the laundering of drug proceeds.

The First International military-economic conference of the Collective Security Treaty Organization was held at the VDNH in Moscow 23.10.2019

On October 23, 2019, Moscow hosted the first International military-economic conference of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (hereinafter - the CSTO, Organization): "Military-economic cooperation of the CSTO member states: development trends, problems and prospects."

The conference was organized as a part of the activities of the CSTO Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation and was held in accordance with its decision of September 7, 2018.

he conference was opened by the CSTO Acting Secretary General Valery Semerikov. He emphasized that this event is the first international forum within the framework of the CSTO to discuss pressing issues of the development of military-economic cooperation within the Organization.

The Conference was chaired by Yuri Borisov, Deputy Prime Minister of the Russian Federation - Chairman of the CSTO Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation (ICMEC).

The Acting Executive Secretary of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly Sergey Pospelov welcomed the participants of the Conference.

The Conference was attended by plenipotentiary representatives of the Organization's member states under the CSTO, representatives of the leadership and members of the CSTO Parliamentary Assembly, leaders and members of the national parts of the ICMEC, the Business Council under the ICMEC, representatives of the leadership of interested ministries and departments, heads and specialists of leading scientific and production associations, enterprises and organizations of the defense-industrial complex (military-industrial complex) of the Organization's member states.

Conference participants considered the most pressing issues of developing military-economic cooperation in the CSTO format, exchanged experience in the formation of mutually beneficial cooperation networks between enterprises and organizations of the defense-industrial complex (military-industrial complex), and also discussed the main directions for further improving the scientific, technical and industrial cooperation of defense enterprises of the member states of the Organization.

ZVF_7806.JPGDuring the Conference, the leaders of the national parts of the ICMEC, representatives of corporations, industrial enterprises and defense-industrial complex (military-industrial complex) organizations spoke, who revealed pressing problems and prospects for military-economic cooperation between the CSTO member states.

Based on the results of the Conference, it is planned to publish a collection of its materials, which will include presentations by all participants in the meeting.

In the future, the Collection is intended to be sent to the national parts of the ICMECto use the results of the exchange of views in practical work by participants in military-economic cooperation - from interested ministries and departments to heads of enterprises and organizations of the military-industrial (military-industrial) complexes of the CSTO member states.

The conference was held as a part of the business program of the XXIIIth International Exhibition of State Security Means “Interpolitech-2019”.
