From 22 to 26 April, this year, the CSTO Secretariat is holding an annual training meeting for representatives of ministries and departments of the Collective Security Treaty Organization member states without military status.

The meeting was held in the city of Moscow under the chairmanship of Viktor Zinoviev, Secretary of the CSTO Interstate Commission on Military-Economic Cooperation (ICMEC, Commission).

The Second protocol on amendments to the CSTO Charter has been ratified in Kyrgyzstan 19.01.2020

President of the Kyrgyz Republic Sooronbai Jeenbekov signed the Law of the Kyrgyz Republic "On ratification of the Second Protocol on Amending the Charter of the Collective Security Treaty Organization of October 7, 2002 and the Second Protocol of Amending the Collective Security Treaty of May 15, 1992, signed on November 8, 2018 years in the city of Astana. "

The law was adopted by the Jogorku Kenesh of the Kyrgyz Republic on December 12, 2019. According to this Law, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic is required to notify the Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization of the ratification of the above protocols by the Kyrgyz Republic. The law shall enter into force 10 days after the date of its official publication.

The Second protocol on amending the Charter of the Collective Security Treaty of October 7, 2002 and the Second protocol on amending the Collective Security Treaty of May 15, 1992 were developed by the CSTO Secretariat due to the fact that the Armenian side informed about the transition of the Republic of Armenia to parliamentary form of government from April 9, 2018. In accordance with the provisions of the national legislation of the Republic of Armenia, the Armed Forces are subordinate to the Government. In case of urgent need, the decision on the use of the Armed Forces is made by the Prime Minister, who heads the Security Council and is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Armenia during the war.
