At the closing ceremony of the training, the Minister of Defense of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Colonel General Ruslan Zhaksylykov, also noted that a set of joint trainings with the Collective Security Treaty Organization Collective Forces had been conducted for more than 20 years. Every year the trainings are practiced and improved measures to prevent, resolve military conflicts and post-conflict settlement. He stressed that the Kazakh side was ready to share with the defense agencies of the CSTO member states the accumulated practical experience, to make proposals to the training programs of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces units, as well as to study the experience of allies in this field.
Summarizing the results of the training, he expressed confidence that each of the participants had improved their field training and professionalism, gained experience in conducting a peacekeeping operation, and gained the ability to coordinate the actions of multinational forces.
The CSTO Deputy Secretary General Taalatbek Masadykov said: “Today Eurasia accounts for about 80% of all international conflicts and this actualizes the task of developing new, more effective mechanisms to ensure security in the Eurasian space, including with the involvement of the CSTO peacekeeping potential.
We currently have practical experience of the participation of the national peacekeeping contingent of the Armed Forces of the Republic of Kazakhstan, comprising 139 military personnel, in an independent peacekeeping mission in the Golan Heights under a United Nations mandate. This experience was also applied during the training.
The training involved more than 2,000 militaries, internal affairs, police, internal troops and security personnel and involved 500 units of weapons and military equipment.
In accordance with the concept of the training, issues related to the preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation by the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces on the territory of a simulated state in Central Asia were practiced.
The event demonstrated the increased level of training of the Joint Command of the CSTO Collective Peacekeeping Forces and the coordinated work of commanders and staffs in preparing for and conducting a peacekeeping operation.
The personnel demonstrated a high level of professionalism and field training, and all assigned tasks were accomplished in a timely and complete manner. I would like to thank all those who took an active part in the preparation and conduct of the exercise for their initiative and diligence”.
Colonel General Andrei Serdyukov, Chief of the CSTO Joint Staff, noted in particular: “Today the final stage of the training with the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces “Indestructible Brotherhood-2024” took place. This is an important milestone in the joint operational and combat training of the Troops (Collective Forces), our cooperation in the sphere of defense and strengthening regional security.
The collective peacekeeping forces successfully accomplished the multifaceted tasks assigned to them. During the training, issues related to the preparation and conduct of a peacekeeping operation by the Collective Peacekeeping Forces of the CSTO were worked out.
Contingents from the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, Russia and the Republic of Tajikistan were involved. At all stages of the training, air defense, the use of strike drones and electronic warfare were practiced.
Today we observed the actions of units of the armed forces, other security forces, law enforcement agencies and emergency services. I note that the training participants showed a high level of coherence and cooperated clearly in solving combat training tasks. Another step has been taken towards improving the interoperability of the peacekeeping contingents of our countries.
Special attention during the training was paid to the coordination of actions between defense and other interested agencies, which makes it possible to bring interdepartmental and international interaction to a qualitatively new level.
In the field, we saw how the training and skills of commanders and soldiers are being improved and how new approaches to the joint application of Troops (Collective Forces) units are being formed.
The successes achieved in the training are the result of the serious training of peacekeepers and their ability to fight and win under difficult conditions! The highly professional and effective actions of the CPF confirm that peacekeepers are a component without which it is impossible to ensure peace and stability.
Our contingents are acting in strict compliance with their international obligations.
Further improvement of the composition of the CSTO Peacekeeping Forces and their preparation for carrying out their earmarked tasks is the most important area of development of the Organization's collective security system in the coming years.
The importance of the peacekeeping component is growing. The development of this component involves increasing the readiness of military formations to participate in international peacekeeping operations both to maintain peace and security in conflict zones and to protect the interests of our countries and the Organization.
The results of joint trainings testify to our readiness to stand together against current challenges and threats.
I thank the Ministry of Defense, the General Staff and the Command of the Airborne Assault Troops of the Republic of Kazakhstan for the high-quality preparation of the training, its comprehensive support, warm welcome and hospitality, which will undoubtedly have a positive impact on the results of the training and will remain in the memory of its participants. I am confident that our peacekeeping contingents, operating in a difficult environment, will continue to perform their tasks with dignity, which will contribute to strengthening the authority of our countries and our Organization!
I congratulate all the training participants on its successful conclusion!
