Meetings between Talatbek Masadykov and UN Secretary-General António Guterres and his deputies are scheduled. The meetings are expected to address a wide range of current issues, in particular, peacekeeping and counter-terrorism.
On September 23, Talatbek Masadykov will take part in the traditional annual meeting of the foreign ministers of the CSTO member states, held on the sidelines of the General Assembly of the world organization.
Today, the active phase of the joint exercise with the Collective Rapid Deployment Forces of the Central Asian Region (CRDF CAR) “Frontier-2026” concluded on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan.

Dear colleagues, dear friends,
I am pleased to welcome you to this event held as part of the program of the Eastern Economic Forum.
The overall objective of the round table is to deepen cooperation between the CSTO and the SCO on maintaining regional security and stability.
Since its establishment, our Organization has expressed an active interest in developing cooperation with the SCO.
It should be emphasized that the joint efforts of the CSTO and SCO are aimed at strengthening Eurasian security, and cooperation between the two organizations should be further developed, including in the field of analysis and forecasting, on the basis of the Memorandum of Understanding between the CSTO Secretariat and the SCO Secretariat signed on October 5, 2007.
It can be stated with confidence that the CSTO has largely completed the development of its regulatory and legal framework, enabling the Organization to effectively address the tasks entrusted to it and adequately respond to a wide range of challenges and threats within its area of responsibility.
In 2027, two anniversaries related to the Collective Security Treaty Organization will be celebrated. These are the 35th anniversary of the signing of the Treaty, which took place on May 15, 1992, and the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the CSTO (May 14, 2002). Over this period, the Organization has evolved into a multifunctional regional structure for countering both traditional and emerging challenges, including terrorism, drug trafficking, illegal migration and cybercrime, and has become a key mechanism for ensuring regional security.
I am confident that the event will take place in a businesslike and constructive atmosphere and will contribute to addressing the tasks of strengthening security across the Greater Eurasian space.
I wish the participants of the round table a productive discussion.
