CSTO Deputy Secretary General Valery Semerikov held a meeting at the Organization’s Secretariat with a delegation of the Monitoring Team of the UN Security Council Sanctions Committees 1267/1989/2253 concerning ISIL and Al-Qaeda and 1988 concerning the Taliban Movement United Nations Security Council.
A working meeting was held between the CSTO Secretary General Talatbek Masadykov and Head of the Center for Scientific and Analytical Information of the Institute of Oriental Studies of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Political Sciences Nikolay Plotnikov.

The 17th meeting of the Working Group under the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils on information security was held
On 17 April 2026, the 17th meeting of the Working Group under the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils on information security was held in Moscow, with the participation of delegations of representatives of national coordinating and competent authorities on information security, as well as experts and specialists from relevant national structures and agencies of the Organization’s member states.
The meeting was opened by Aleksandr Kuznetsov, Adviser to the Countering Challenges and Threats Department of the CSTO Secretariat, who addressed the participants.
During the meeting, chaired by Aleksey Ivanov, members of the Working Group under the CSTO Committee of Secretaries of Security Councils on information security, representatives of the delegations of the CSTO member states and the CSTO Secretariat discussed current information security threats and methods of countering them.
The speakers noted a significant increase in the number of attacks, in particular those involving the NFCGate malware, as well as a rise in the number of compromised devices during public and political events. An increase in computer incidents related to contractors and counterparties of enterprises was also highlighted. Particular emphasis was placed on the importance of monitoring protected infrastructure for any suspicious activity.
During the event, the participants exchanged views on current threats and on the issue of promptly communicating information on critical software vulnerabilities to the owners of vulnerable resources and responding to them. They noted the active development of information exchange among specialists of the CCC CSTO contact points, the growing number of joint activities, and the increased speed of response to computer incidents.
The participants expressed their appreciation to the Russian side, which is chairing the Organization, for organizing and holding, on the eve of the CCC CSTO Council meeting, the first specialized forum of the State System for Detection, Prevention and Elimination of Consequences of Computer Attacks (GosSOPKA).
