The Secretariat of the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO) and the “Cyberus” Foundation for Cyber Security Development signed a memorandum of cooperation in the field of information security. The agreement is aimed at improving the level of cyber security in the CSTO member states.
The memorandum was signed by the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov on the part of the Secretariat and Yury Maximov, co-founder of the Foundation, on the part of “Cyberus”.
The Secretariat and “Cyberus” plan to develop cooperation in the field of defense against cyber threats and share experience in implementing modern technologies in the management and protection systems of facilities important for national and regional security, as well as to conduct joint scientific research.
The parties will also cooperate in training cyber security specialists in the CSTO member states and are interested in improving legislation in this area.
"The signing of the memorandum creates a basis for expanding cooperation in protecting critical facilities, training specialists and improving the regulatory framework. In the long term, this will make it possible to strengthen coordination among the CSTO member states in countering cyber threats and increase the level of cyber resilience in the region," the CSTO Secretary General Imangali Tasmagambetov said.
"Cyberspace knows no borders, and securing the digital world cannot be done alone. Effective protection requires international cooperation. That is why we actively cooperate with states, businesses and specialized organizations.
